Pursuant to Water Code 31007.5, the District shall not seek to recover any charges or penalties for the furnishing of water to or for a Tenant’s residential use from any subsequent Tenant on account of nonpayment of charges by a previous Tenant. The District will, however, require that Service to subsequent Tenants be furnished only on the account of the property owner. The owner of the Property where the Service is provided will be responsible for all charges for Services provided by the District to the Property. [Ord. 2014-1 § 7, 2014.]
